Original Defender (originaldefender.com) restores and sells classic Land Rover Defenders. This page explains what personal information we collect through this website, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. The short version: we only collect what we need to answer you and improve the site, and we will never sell, rent or trade your personal information.

What we collect and why

Enquiries. When you use our contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address and anything you choose to include in your message. We use it only to reply to you and, if you go ahead, to arrange your purchase, build, shipping and registration.

Website analytics. We use Google Analytics (through Google Site Kit) to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are viewed and roughly where visitors are from. This uses cookies and is processed by Google. It does not tell us who you are.

Embedded content. Some pages show content from other services, such as our Instagram feed. Those services may set their own cookies and collect data as if you had visited their site directly.

Security. To protect the site against attacks, our security tools log the IP addresses of failed login attempts.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell, rent or trade personal information. We only share it where needed to complete something you’ve asked for, for example with our North American partner, shipping agents or registration authorities when you buy a truck from us, or where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry emails for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry or purchase, and sale records for as long as tax and legal rules require.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can object to how we use it. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. To make a request, get in touch.

We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
