History
This Defender was first registered in South Hamptons, New York but it’s first owner, where it remained until 2005 when it purchased and imported into Canada and spent the next 17 years in Calgary, Alberta. The sea air and the harsh Canadian winters, took it’s toll on steel steel body pieces, however we got to it just in time to be able to save the original chassis. We purchased it in 2020 and set about an ambitious, no-expense-or-effort-spared restoration to bring #249 back better-than-new condition. The restoration completed in Spring 2022.
